What Is a Book Study?
A book study is when we walk through an entire book of the Bible verse by verse and chapter by chapter, allowing Scripture to shape the message rather than our preferences. At Epiphany, we believe preaching through all of Scripture forces us to deal with what’s right in front of us. It keeps us balanced, grounded, and faithful to the full counsel of God’s Word. Instead of skipping difficult passages, we learn what God is saying through them and how they point us to Jesus.
God is not absent in the chaos—He still calls His people to courage, faith and purpose.
Why Esther Matters Now
The Book of Esther speaks directly to our cultural moment. It is a story of faith in a secular world, a world that does not openly acknowledge God, yet where God is still in control. Like Esther’s Persia, our culture often hides God behind politics, power and personal ambition, but His providence still weaves through every detail.
Esther also highlights the beauty, strength and voice of women. In a time when her identity could have been hidden or silenced, God raised her up to influence a nation. Her story reminds us that God uses both men and women, in every generation, to bring His redemptive plan to pass.
Now is the time to rediscover that truth. God is not absent in the chaos and He still calls His people to courage, faith and purpose.
